SB 1383 NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
Dear Valued Customer,
Please be advised that effective January 1, 2022, California Senate Bill 1383 requires organic waste like food scraps, food-soiled paper, yard trimmings, paper, and cardboard to be separated from landfill-bound garbage.
Loads hauled to Blue Line Transfer should be sorted before arrival. Any load containing organic material that has not been separated from other waste will either be rejected or incur a premium charge for processing.
Customers who require a receipt indicating the disposal of a clean load of organic waste must deliver as a single material. That material could be any one of the following:
- clean wood waste
- yard trimmings
- cardboard and/or paper
- food waste and/or food-soiled paper
Loads of packaged food will be accepted. Receipt will show that the material was packaged (not clean) and a premium processing charge applied.
