Recyclables Theft Notice

Protecting recyclables and preventing unauthorized removal

Once your carts/bins are set out for collection, the materials inside are entrusted to South San Francisco Scavenger Company. It is illegal for an uninvited third party to remove items. Doing so is theft.

Applicable Laws & Regulations

Theft of recyclables is prohibited under the following:

  • California Public Resources Code Section 41950–41956
  • Millbrae Municipal Code Section 6.15.150
  • South San Francisco Municipal Code Section 8.16.120
  • City of Brisbane Municipal Code Section 8.24.030
