How do I start, stop or change service?
The property owner or manager should call us at 650.589.4020 during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 7am – 4:30pm). Starts/stops and most service changes can be made immediately.
On our service day not all of our garbage or recycling was picked up. What can we do?
If you were missed, we’ll send a driver back within one business day. Call us as soon as possible at 650.589.4020. Please make sure your collection container(s) are accessible by 5:00 am and are not overloaded.
We can also help you if you need an extra pickup or would like to increase your service level.
What belongs in each of my collection carts/bins?
We provide separate carts/bins labeled for Garbage, Paper, Containers (Aluminum, Glass & Plastic), Cardboard, and Organics (compost).

We’re getting rid of some bulky items. Can you pick up industrial-sized appliances?
We’ll pick up bulky items as long as they’re not too heavy to safely lift. Charges apply. To schedule a pickup, call us at 650.589.4020.
What should I do with leftover paint and cleaning products? What about old computer equipment and cell phones?

Our business produces too much garbage – what can we change?

Are there any waste enclosure requirements?
Yes. To prevent litter, discourage illegal dumping/scavenging, encourage recycling, and ensure service, please review these guidelines.
If I’m already recycling all I can, what else can I do to keep my bill down?

How can we dispose of a surplus of edible food?
Contact Second Harvest Food Bank. They accept donations of food and distribute it to soup kitchens and shelters.
